Welcome

My name is Georgia, and I am a humanistic counsellor/psychotherapist and a registered member of the BACP.

My work is rooted in the belief that meaningful change becomes possible when we feel genuinely heard, accepted, and understood, so whatever has brought you to this page today, I am here to listen.

At the heart of my approach is the therapeutic relationship. I offer a space where you can bring whatever is troubling you, free from judgement. Together, we explore your experiences with empathy, curiosity, and respect, at a pace that feels right for you.

My private practice is based in a peaceful village between Thirsk and Helmsley, within the North York Moors. The therapy room — with its old beams, soft light, and fire — offers a calm, welcoming environment where you can settle and take a breath.

For some people, being outdoors supports reflection and grounding in a different way. With a background in ecology and many years working in natural settings, I also offer walk‑and‑talk therapy for those who feel drawn to working in nature. Online counselling is available too, providing flexibility and accessibility.

Whatever brings you to therapy, you will be met with warmth, acceptance, and a commitment to supporting you in a way that feels authentic and meaningful for you.
